The Outdoor Collection 2026 by Italian legacy brand Molteni&C unites three international design voices under the creative direction of Belgian architect and designer Vincent Van Duysen.

Across a decade as creative director, Vincent Van Duysen has shaped Molteni&C through a clear architectural vision, strengthening the brand’s culture of quality living across interiors, outdoor living and beyond. That coherence extends across his wider body of work, spanning seating, storage and kitchen systems, with pieces such as the Molteni&C Augusto and Paul sofas sitting within a broader catalogue that reflects a consistent design language rooted in continuity and evolution.
In his tenth year as Molteni&C creative director, Vincent Van Duysen has marked the milestone by expanding the brand’s outdoor offering, which he first introduced just over three years ago. First unveiled by Van Duysen at Maison&Objet 2026 in Paris, the collection includes the architect’s own designs, alongside pieces by Canadian practice Yabu Pushelberg, helmed by George Yabu and Glenn Pushelberg, and Italian design practice Studio Dordoni.
Designed to feel inherent to its setting, the collection moves beyond the traditional divide between indoor and outdoor living, while remaining true to Molteni&C’s heritage. Van Duysen’s Soleva series, which takes its name from the word ‘sun’, includes low-slung armchairs, dining pieces and a chaise lounge. “With Soleva I wanted to evoke the warmth of daylight, the slow rhythm of light moving through space and tracing patterns across surfaces,” he says.
Building on the indoor Chelsea series, Studio Dordoni’s Chelsea Outdoor collection adapts its original design with careful attention to material, durability and proportion. Teak frames and rope detailing reinterpret the collection’s signature lines, while modular sofas, rope-weave chairs and tables retain the formal coherence of the original while responding to the demands of outdoor use.
In his tenth year as creative director, Van Duysen continues to shape Molteni&C’s Italian design story.

Yabu Pushelberg’s Club collection introduces a more nomadic sensibility, with pieces designed to move fluidly with the user. Lightweight aluminium structures, curved backrests and tailored upholstery lend the collection a sense of portability without sacrificing comfort. “We pursued the search for an object that moves with us,” the duo explains, describing a vision that was driven by spontaneity and ease.
Extending this vision, a new lighting series developed with Vibia will debut at Milan Design Week 2026. Together, the collection underscores Molteni&C’s continued commitment to material-led design and, in Van Duysen’s tenth year, reinforces a design language that moves effortlessly between indoors and out.

Van Duysen curated Molteni&C’s first Outdoor Collection in 2022 with the Palinfrasca sofa, a contemporary reworking of Luca Meda’s 1994 design that reflects the brand’s long-standing material expertise and nearly 90 years of savoir-faire since its founding in 1934.
The Soleva seating combines powder-coated aluminium with vertical marine plywood slats. Cushions are designed for en plein air use, offering durable comfort while maintaining a refined, sculptural presence.
